Mint and Citrus Iced Tea

Mint and Citrus Iced Tea

With the weather getting warmer, what better than a good, homemade iced tea to refresh and re-energize !

The store-bought iced teas are to be consumed moderately because they usually have a very high sugar level. So why not make your own iced tea? Simple and effective, this recipe is a staple for spring.

Mint and Citrus Iced Tea

4 to 6 portions

Ingredients

6 bags of Green Tea
1/2 cup (125 mL) of fresh mint leaves
3 slices of oranges
3 slices of lemons
3 slices of limes
6 cups (1.5 L) of boiling water
1/4 cup (60 mL) of granulated sugar
1 handful of ice cubes

Preparation

In a large measuring cup or teapot, place the tea bags, the mint leaves, the orange slices, the lemon slices, and the lime slices. Pour the boiling water over the ingredients and steep for 10 minutes. Pour the tea in a large pitcher and add the sugar. Stir until it is completely dissolved and serve on ice.
